Mabel-PRK Right eye 10 yrs ago for -11 D, Staar Visian ICL for -16D 4 months ago

Mabel was highly myopic but had a thin cornea so we could not do LASIK. we did a PRK with the Visx laser and she did very well. Her left eye progressed to -16 D and when she became stable we inserted a Staar Visian ICL phakic implant 4 months ago and now she has uncorrected vision of 20/25 in each eye and is very secure with her improved vision

Christian had LASIK in Right eye & Phakic Lens in left eye 2 yrs ago for high myopia

Christian is an avid surfer. We were able to do wavefront guided LASIK with the Intralase to create a thin flap in his right eye (-9D)but his left was too nearsighted (-12D) so we inserted a phakic lens implant 2 years ago. He now has 20/15 vision in the right and 20/12 in the left and is very happy with the quality of vision in both eyes, not favoring one over the other.

I had my LASIK eye surgery at the Rand Eye Institute in South Florida on July 2nd, 2008. They did a WONDERFUL job correcting my myopia and astigmatism. I wanted to share the video they gave me after my surgery with those who were interested in surgery, and with my friends and family who showed interest in the procedure. Please note, some of the time has been edited because youtube has time limit restrictions. Also, I added music to make it less boring Music by Velvet Acid Christ, I think it added to the creepiness of getting your eye sliced open factor =P I would suggest Rand Eye to anyone seeking corrective vision services! They really were AMAZING!!
