Eyesight??????
Are there any ways that I can improve my eyesite without getting Lasik eye surgey?
&& how old do you have to be to get a Lasik eye surgery?
I also can’t get eye contacts, my dad won’t let me…..
&& im 14
unfortunately, there is no proven way to improve your eyesight. but also, there are many things that are debated about the causes of eye conditions and whatnot… I would recommend that you do some research of your own to find out. that is what I am trying to do. You will be able to get lasik eye surgery when you are 21.

Not really, no. I’ve heard some program advertised to improve your vision, but I’m pretty sure it’s a scam- plus it requires you to wear contacts anyway. I wore glasses until I was 14- then I got contacts. That was great. Maybe you should keep trying to talk your dad into it. Especially if you play sports or anything- contacts are a big help. You don’t want to get LASIK until your eyes quit changing, and they’re probably not done yet at 14. You should really wait until you’re at least 20. Good luck!

Usually the best age is about 23 for LASIK and the reason is because your eyes (in most people) generally stop changing. Lasik does not prevent your eyes from changing. At 14, I honestly feel you are a bit too young for LASIK because your eyes will still change.
They do have other proceedures out there (I believe it is called PRK – but I could be wrong), where they take contacts to change the shape of your cornea. But that is still a new proceedure and not many doctors know how to do this, or even will do this.

Wait a little while and then talk to your Dad about getting contacts. They arn’t a big deal. Other than that there isn’t a lot you can do besides lasik. BTW to get lasik your eyes must be fully developed (your prescription has stopped changing/fully grown eyes) and you would need consent from your parents!

my aunt and one of my teachers got lasik eye surgery…it worked good for them… and you’ve tried negotiating with ur dad and it didn’t work? well i have the brand candies for glasses and they work good…have you considered getting glasses? well they’re compfortable and you can see… what more could you want?when i first got glasses my friends had to get used to me with them on all the time…this year i got contacts…there not quite as compfy as glasses…i would prefer glasses but you can’t even tell that your wearing anything with contacts..which i always like.. but try to negotiate with your dad more and who knows he might let you get contacts…but honestly..i think that you should wait until your at least 18 until you get lasik eye surgery. try glasses for 1-4yrs. and within that time your dad might have changed his mind about you getting contacts…but consider glasses for now… remember the brand candies

There are eye exercises online that you can try, but their results are not necessarily guaranteed. You have to be about 25 to get lasik, so you have a long way to go.

Lasik eye surgery is not for everyone.
I don’t think there is an age requirement for Lasik eye surgery.
Lets look at the wearing glasses or lenses
age doesn’t matter for wearing of these
I have seen children wear glasses before they go to school.
Your doctor should have talked to you about lasik eye surgery
Lasik eye surgery is used on people who don’t want to wear glasses or lenses.

In order to perform Lasik eye surgery, you have to wait until the growth of your body stops. It’s usually around age of 25. Nearsightedness has a tendency of growing as long as your body grows. If Lasik is performed earlier, there are no guarantees that your vision will stay clear and that is the reason why you have to wait for your vision to stabilize.
