Intralase takes 20 seconds for both eyes and doesn't hurt. Also, it permits a more rapid healing.

After surgery, it takes around one week to be able to do everything you want to, as the eye will take some time to readjust a bit, especially to daylight, although you'll be able to see clearly after a good night's rest following the surgery.

Full recovery takes around 2 months, that's when the flap fully heals.

Don't be scared, just take a vallium one hour before the surgery to calm down ;-)

had it done last week, totally painless. Although there is some discomfort during the intralase part since they flatten your corneal lense in order to cut it. But like I said, its totally painles and i could see 20/20 without any haziness or anything the day after surgery. Definitely worth it!

Hi, I had this done yesterday and can say i was very scared but didn't need to be as it was over in 15 minutes and was painless, so if you want rid of your glasses and contact lenses go for it.

to do LASIK, the surgeon must expose the stroma (middle layer) of the cornea. they can do it with a microkeratome (small blade) or an Intralase laser. the laser creates small bubbles that separate the tissue, instead of cutting it with a blade. both accomplish the same thing. each method is commonly done.

for those who asked, the flap they create never completely heals. the edges will seal off, but it can be broken loose. it takes a more force than you might think.

Believe me, with those eqiupments, it is impossible for you to move your eyes. In the second session you can move, but no harm for your eyes.
