well said!! The “poor results” don’t pay for all that juicy advertising. This is a FLAWED science. Thanks for putting that word out – I had no idea that there were so many websites, but then I am not suprised. Some of these people might now be “sight tested” by an optician (not a doctor) depending on where you are. Worse eyes, more distractions, poorly trained eye-care professionals. Nice mix!! Still waiting for blackberry to invent voice texting!!

That’s unfortunate, from your comment on “being able to see the board” implies to me that you are still quite young, which means your eyes are continuing to change, now, and in two years, and when you’re 40 years old. You see shaving your eye maded it smaller, which is good for minus, but not for PLUS, when you say “above normal” you mean more plus. I hope you don’t go in for more surgeries as your vision continues to change. Just get good reading glasses. How is your contrast sensitivity??????

i have checked it again.. i have 20/20 vision.. and said you have above normal.. doctor said that they will be no prob because you can able to read all the letters in the board.. and i dont feel that star dust or anything in night.. i can able to see the body of the light clearly.. i feel the star dust and irritation for 1 week after epi lasik.. now i m normal..

haha, just don’t go to the 2 for 1 guy with the sandwhich board on the street — oh well, it’s only vision right, it’s not like your heart or brain, or uhhh uhh…well there’s always the promise of stem cell research!!

I heard them say in a radio last week that it’s been “proven safe” talk about false advertising…..they also consider seperate eyes and tune-ups “successful procedures”, not patients operated on with success, if you could call that success… reminds me of a book called “how to lie with statistics”, I’m pretty sure their marketing machine has a copy!

also, make sure when you get a pressure test for glaucoma, you tell the optometrist to measure your corneal thickness also, otherwise you’ll never know whether or not you’re about to go blind, or at risk…the higher the minus you were, the thinner your cornea is now, so watch out for corneal ectasia, ohh they’ll sell you on a magical cure for that too, maybe a transplant so they can get paid a second time by insurance :) also suggest you get an optometrist who isn’t on the “co-management take”

if that’s true, count yourself lucky!! It’s like russian roulette, only the lucky ones, still get things like myopic regression (you know how you need an eye test every couple of years) contrast issues, quadruple vision? How do you like those street-lights, and headlights at night? I wish you could see a corneal topography of your result. I don’t think you’d think it was such a “20/20″ result. guess that depends which part of your eye you’re looking through!! watch out for gforce!!

i did my epi lasik on monday 21st jan.. and now my vision are 20/20

man, what a horror story, the scariest part is that most patients are satisfied…wait a few years. What about visual aberations that are not on your optometrist’s test people??? contrast sensitivity, hazing, sands of sahara, quadruple vision, keratoconus, over-correction. Turning people into hyperopes, wonder what the effects are on the retina of a cutting laser? Watch out for macular degeneration. Let’s wait a few years and see if I’m right…february 2009

can u please tell me what is the result , how u feel right now and what are your comments on the surgery?; cause i am planning to do it in the summer. thx u

2400euros? Omg, that’s a lot for a simple lasik surgery. Where I live, intralasik costs less. Less than 2000 for the two eyes. Lasik is not even used by most advanced eye surgery clinics, ’cause it has too many side effect possibilities. My choice would be intralasik, or simple prk.

that’s cool i’m jewish and learning hebrew so that’s awesome

Lasik surgery has ruined the vision of Tiger Woods exgirlfriend Kashmira Karanjia, Regis Philbin, Kathy Griffin to name just a few. Tiger Wood’s vision has also required further “enhancements” which are NOT a good sign. Google lasik suicide, lasik disasters, lasik lawsuits, lasik fraud, lasik dry eye syndrome, lasik evil, lasik conspiracy, and you will understand why!
