Dr. John …
Dr. John Kanellopoulos: There was evidence presented by Emory Universitys Henry Edelhauser at this years Refractive Surgery Subspecialty Day at the Academy of Ophthalmology meeting that the LASIK flap never actually heals onto the underlying stroma, especially centrally… This was a real eye-opener for me…” (Review of Ophthalmology 2/1/2009)

Dr. Gary Conrad: ” …
Dr. Gary Conrad: “It was once believed that the flap would re-adhere permanently. However, the unique connective tissue of the cornea and a lack of blood vessels limit its ability to fully heal even years after the procedure.” See my channel for more LASIK truth.

Very good …
Very good documentary. Thinking of getting it done myself so it was good to know what happens afterwards. How long before you were back to normal? May I ask the make of your shades as I thought that they were quite cool? Many thanks

I had laser surgery …
I had laser surgery a couple of years ago and am very glad I did. Having said that, no surgery is 100% safe and I hate to hear about those who came out with problems.
Not sure what can be done when things go wrong.

That’s bad news… Where did she go? and what treatment did she have done? I went with Optical Express…I did a fair bitof research and checked out the consultant before I went… Got to say they were first class and my eyes are feeling great! It’s been nearly a week now and I go back tomorrow for a check up.

This is a very true …
This is a very true representation of how I was after my surgery (48 hours ago). Once the anesthetic wore off I was in a fair bit of pain with the stinging in both eyes, however nothing you can’t live with and it only lasted for a couple of hours! The results the day after were fantastic.I have better than 20/20. My eyes are a little bruised just under the top eye lid, this is normal, other than a little bit of dryness everything else is fine. I am very pleased with the results already.

Mine didn’t hurt at …
Mine didn’t hurt at all?? Just the stinging!
Yeah, you loose that super close focus I know! People with normal vision can’t either. It’s funny what you ‘miss’ when it’s gone. But lets face it, having great vision…sorry you’re not quite there yet are you! Ha, give it a few days. I think any halo/fuzzyness I had went after a week or so. Everyone is different though so get just give yourself time to adjust.
How much did you pay? If you don’t mind me asking.

I was in the clinic for about hour maximum yes.
I also have non round eyes. It makes you have an astigmatism doesn’t it? They can help correct that. Although I still have a small bit of astigmatism but with 20/20 vision.
Have fun.
You should video log it and put it on this page! That would be cool.
