My Daughter Inlaw allso had Lasic eye Surgey done about six years ago. Her vision i still 20/20 and has never uttered one complainat but i’m sure if she felt her vision was decreaseing she would go right back to the clinic.
My Daughter inlaw is allso an RN and keeps up to date regaurding any long term effects of Lasik surgery.
I would recomend you getting checked out at the clinic and keep your vision up to the 20/20 level.

i heard 25 would be the right b/c then it is for sure that eyes won’t change and that you shouldn’t get it done before that b/c your eyes might change. i really want to get it done b/c i when iam older b/c i have 20/200 and can’t see a thing. i also get really bad headaches wearing contacts b/c my eyes get so dry.what are the requirements on geting this sugery?

You already said it…usually by the early 20’s is when it can be done.

The vision has to be stable for 1 -2 years…

As for other requirements ,they will all be known after you go for the first consultation with them, and go thru some tests to see if you are suitable.

4 months ago I have undergone c lasik treatment frm the best doctor at our place. I have moved my head 2 times during operation.The problem is my left eye is giving me perfect vision(100%) but the right eye is blurry and the vision is not sharp if I compare it with my right eye. (50%)It makes me irritated.The doctor says the healing is done but tears layer is still there. I think that is doctor is hiding something. Does my moving of head affects the vision. Whats the maxium time for the perfect vision to come up? Do i have to go for enhancement surgery.I asked doctor do I have to go for surgery again.He said that you cannot go for it for atleast one year? Well, it looks like you can’t do anything until it can be retouched again with the laser. There is no other way to fix the problem until it is all healed.

I don’t think moving your head made the difference. The modern lasers have a tracking device that follow any movement of the eye or head.

You are just an example of what can go wrong with laser surgery sometimes. It isn’t perfect, and there is always a risk.

I want to see if I qualify to get Lasik or some other laser vision correction surgery, but I want a second opinion.

Does the Lasik doctor I schedule my consulation with need my eye records or not?

The lasik doctor will do any additionally tests if necessary, but you basic eye exam records may be needed.
